After Michigan (where they're from), Illinois. The LPs of these atypical Americans tells the poetical feelings the States of their country inspire them. With such a subject we can spend quite a few years ... We can say they are a little bit the transatlantic Belle and Sebastian's. Songs are jewels engraved with brass and piano. A luxurious brass band in a certain way ...

The National - Alligator
We have seen these guys with friends on stage 2 years ago. In Beauvais, in a small concert hall (well, in a close shabby small room). Since that time I don't withdraw. As time go on their music gets mature, but nothing and none appease Matt Berninger.

Canada special:
The Dears - No Cities Left
A very promising band from Montreal. The singer has got an opera-singer trunk but sings rock'n'roll.

The Arcade Fire - Funeral
Will certainly be classified in the best new groups of the year. Articulated around the couple Win Butler and Régine Chassagne, it is a colorful orchestra, in energy, emotions and theatre (in music as on scene). They also come from Montreal but one cannot really say that they have something in common with The Dears.

France special:
Camille - Le Fil
The solo project of the girl who sings in Nouvelle Vague. A little bit known abroad, it's the band which makes the covers of the standards new-wave songs (The Cure - A Forest for example) in bossa nova style. This project is not really the same deal. This girl is astonishing and it is said that the shows are ... particular... I think of having the occasion to see her ... In a word, her music or her shows are : emotions (in the plural). The no French-speaking people can listen, even without understanding the lyrics, I think it works perfectly.
